Here it is. ‘Foreign Tongues’, the Rolling Stones’ twenty-fifth and newest album, features fourteen new songs and follows less than three years after the widely acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning ‘Hackney Diamonds’, which topped the charts worldwide and achieved multiple platinum statuses. And now there is ‘Foreign Tongues’. Preceded by the infectious single ‘In The Stars’, ‘Foreign Tongues’ was recorded in less than a month at Metropolis Studios in West London, where Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood collaborated once again with producer Andrew Watt. The result is a dynamic and progressive record that simultaneously captures the band’s unmistakable sound and explores new sonic and lyrical territories. If the band wasn’t already legendary, that legacy is only further strengthened with the arrival of ‘Foreign Tongues’. The album features musical outbursts from Jagger, Richards, and Wood, alongside their regulars such as Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford, and Steve Jordan. The album also has a special contribution from Charlie Watts, recorded during one of his final sessions before his passing in 2021. Additionally, there are contributions from an impressive array of guest artists, including Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith (The Cure), and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
